Dear Eurostar…

I like to think of myself as a regular, loyal customer of yours. I have the Carte Blanche to prove it.

Over the last two years, like other businesses, Eurostar has implemented a series of cost-cutting measures in its pseudo business class (standard premier) which I am lucky enough to have my company pay for when I travel for work.

First to go was the hot meal, replaced by small cold dishes of varying quality and tastiness (vegetarian in my case). To be fair, I always enjoy the olive rolls and tonight’s couscous, tomato and mozzarella dish was passable.

However, it now seems the breakfast service is missing the pain au chocolat. How is this possible? What next, stale bread and a glass of water?

I seriously hope today was an anomoly. Otherwise Remedial Wife is considering a Twitter campaign…
